Adrian Newey dropped intriguing hints about both his Red Bull exit and particularly his future in F1 in his first interview since the news of his exit.
Adrian Newey remained diplomatic in his first interview post-Red Bull departure, acknowledging the recent team turmoil played a role in his decision. Grinning and in control, he spoke warmly of his time at Red Bull as an “amazing ride” and a “tremendous honour.” Newey cited the all-consuming nature of F1 and the need for a break as reasons for leaving now, hinting at fatigue. While planning to travel with his wife, he remains open to another F1 team move, possibly attracted to designing a car for the 2026 rules. Despite Ferrari being a favorite, Newey is not rushing into any decisions, opting to take a break and see what the future holds.
